“We wanted a Peggy Sue Got Married moment,” Kitsis tells EW, explaining that Emma would’ve seen Graham when she was locked up in the Evil Queen’s castle. “He would’ve been one of the guards because it would’ve been during that period,” adds Horowitz. “She would’ve seen him, and it would’ve been heartbreaking for her because she would’ve wanted to reach out to him, but knowing that—because she’s on a mission—she couldn’t. It wasn’t a big plot thing, but it was an emotional moment that we wanted to do.”
I am so glad they didn’t do this in the finale. The fact that it was just going to be a moment and not a big plot would’ve just made it worse. Seeing a dead guy that meant so much to you (most likely even loved) wouldn’t just touch you in one moment and then forget about it the next.
So, for the first time since Jamie agreed to 50 Shades, I can now say, Thank you for doing that, from the bottom of my heart.
Yeah, if they created this and never mentioned it again, I would have been pretty upset.
Jamie picked a better option for doing 50 press, filming The Fall, and being a daddy. Go Jamie. But come back at some point, mkay?
BTW, this is gorgeous.
you know, i’ve seen quite a number of people saying they’re glad this never happened, and i have to say i disagree. sure, a huge plottwist where graham somehow comes back to life would’ve been ten times better. but if this scene really would’ve played out exactly like A&E described it, then i would have loved it. why? because for the first time since 1x08, we would’ve seen Emma heartbroken over his death, we would’ve seen her mourn and emotional. for the first time since 1x08, Graham, the impact he had on Emma, and his death, would have been acknowledged. and knowing Jennifer Morrison, she would’ve done it beautifully. so yeah; i’m sad we didn’t get this. because it’s just one more season without anyone acknowledging Graham Humbert.
so lets count, shall we?
